Tenerife, Spain – 2019 November UDG Tenerife Goalkeeper Clinic
This visit to the Canary Islands off the northwest coast of Africa was amazing to say the least! I spent 2 weeks in Tenerife, the largest of the islands, to train the three goalkeepers at UDG Tenerife – Aline Reis (Brazil), Pili (Spain), and Nayluisa (Venezuela). At the same time I conducted a goalkeeping coaches development course for the club’s goalkeeper coaches. UDG Tenerife competes in the Women’s First Division Spanish League and also has a team competing in the second division. The opportunity to share my goalkeeping philosophy in Spain was an honor and any chance I get to train my goalkeeper Aline Reis… I’m there! FRANCE 2019 Women’s World Cup
It was a fantastic experience traveling for the entire month to follow my goalkeeper Aline Reis at the 2019 World Cup. France is a beautiful country and I saw a lot of it! Being inside every stadium for Brazil’s matches was only the beginning. I was also able to attend a practice session and see a bit behind the scenes around the team at hotels and post-game meals.
